A
remote workstation allows for the testing of parts at a remote line or cell. The
workstation can be built as a single or dual station unit. Remote
workstations can be located up to 60 feet away from the tester.
The remote workstation
includes a protective slide or flip cover, which initiates the test upon closure.
This protects the operator from the high voltages present during testing.
“Good” and “Reject”
lights or a video monitor can be mounted to the workstation. This is
especially useful if it is necessary for the operator to view the type of
reject or the test results. A keyboard can also be located at the
workstation, which gives the operator the ability to change over from one
part number to another or to change limits/parameters.
