The Model ST6400 is intended for use in any production environment including lean cell, automatic line or operator load.  To start the test sequence on a manual load line, the operator places a part into the test fixture, connects the leads and closes the safety cover.  Once the cover is closed the selected tests are performed.  At the end of the testing, the video monitor will indicate whether or not the stator/field passes or fails.

ST6400 Good Part Screen.JPG (47787 bytes)If a part fails the video monitor will display "reject" and all the measured data obtained will be displayed.  The testing sequence will automatically terminate to prevent further damage to the part-under-test.

If the part passes all of the tests, "good" is displayed on the video monitor.  All measured data and results remain on-screen until the safety slide cover is opened.  The results of any test sequence (pass or fail) can be printed.

The operator may change from one part to another by simply selecting a new part number from the stored parts within the system.  The test limits that were established for the part number is also retained, eliminating the need for re-entering test limits every time that part is run.

The Model ST6400 tester can automatically set-up test limits on new parts.   An authorized employee simply loads an stator/field into the fixture and sets the tester to the automatic set-up mode.  This unknown part is cycled through a full part evaluation sequence and the computer automatically calculates the high and low limits.  These limits are then stored on the systems hard-drive and can be recalled from the master file at a later date; thus making set-up effortless and automatic.  Changes to these limits can be done at anytime using the Default Limit Editor.  These limit files are available for each individual test and only authorized personnel are permitted to make changes.

The user-friendly computer and easy to understand prompting style menu approach has been designed to make the training for set-up and operation both short and simple.

The plug in modular layout and multitude of accessible test points on one panel makes calibration and circuit troubleshooting easy.  Access to the inside components is through the rear door and a lower front panel.  The cabinet is interlocked for the operator’s protection.
