Over the years, ESW has established itself as a leader in the industry, continually innovating and advancing testing technologies. We revolutionized armature testing by introducing electronic scanning, eliminating the need for operators or machines to rotate the armatures. ESW also pioneered the introduction of weld testing and masterless testing to the market, making significant strides in testing accuracy and efficiency.
In the early 1980s, ESW introduced the first fully computerized armature tester, which utilized an RCA computer system. By 1992, we transitioned the test platform to a PC-based computer system, marking another major milestone. During this period, we made a bold move to standardize the platform for both armature and stator testers, ensuring that customers could share spare parts and leverage troubleshooting capabilities across both systems.
In 2000, ESW introduced its first Windows-based tester, incorporating proven hardware while ensuring compatibility with future upgrades for aging systems. This shift ensured long-term support and scalability for our customers.
After 30 years of leadership, Al Naegeli retired in 2002, passing the ownership, management, and direction of the company to Tim Naegeli and Linda Naegeli. Recognizing the need for diversification, Tim and Linda focused on expanding beyond stator and armature testing. They began developing new motor test systems, noise and vibration systems, and wire bonding systems, driving the company into new markets.
Today, ESW continues to advance its technology in close collaboration with our customers. We manufacture both standard and highly customized test systems and remain committed to exploring industry needs, extending our expertise beyond the motor industry to meet diverse testing and automation challenges.
